What to do when stock shows delivered but your prep centre has not checked it in

Few things create more prep-centre frustration than a parcel marked delivered with no check-in confirmation. Sometimes it is a receiving delay. Sometimes it is a mis-scan. Sometimes there is a real problem. The goal is to close that gap quickly and with evidence.

Delivered status is not the same as clean warehouse receipt, and sellers need a process for the gap.

What this article covers

  • delivered not checked in prep centre
  • amazon prep centre parcel missing
  • stock delivered not received warehouse

Why it matters

What Amazon sellers should do when supplier or retailer stock shows delivered but has not been checked in by the prep centre, including tracing and escalation steps.

Understand the three common causes

A delivered status can mean the parcel is physically there but still waiting to be processed. It can mean the parcel was left under a different reference and needs tracing. Or it can mean there is a genuine delivery issue that needs escalation.

You do not want guesswork here. You want a warehouse process that can tell the difference quickly.

What to check first

  • Carrier tracking number and delivery timestamp
  • Delivery name, safe-place note or photo where available
  • Any reference the prep centre expects on inbound stock
  • Whether the warehouse has a normal receiving delay window before check-in

Why warehouse tracing matters

If a parcel really is missing, evidence matters. Tracking history, receiving workflow checks and CCTV-backed tracing where available make it much easier to escalate with the courier or supplier.

Without that, sellers are left arguing from incomplete information.

Prevention is mostly about inbound discipline

The more consistent your inbound references, supplier instructions and warehouse communication are, the fewer delivered-but-not-found problems you tend to get. Good prep operations reduce these gaps before they happen.

That is one reason visibility should be part of your prep-centre choice, not an afterthought.
